
Camp Horne Ranger Position Open
The Black Warrior Council, B.S.A. /dba Scouting America is soliciting applicants for the full-time position of Camp Horne Ranger. The Camp Ranger is a unique and vitally important position for the operation of Camp Horne and for the programs provided to the youth of West Alabama. The Camp Horne Ranger lives on the camp property year-round. Interested persons are encouraged to review the information below. The anticipated start date is January 1, 2026.
About Camp Horne

Camp Horne is the premier camp of the Black Warrior Council. This 488 acre camp has six campsites, olympic-sized swimming pool, two lakes, shooting complex (rifle range, archery range, shotgun range), climbing complex, dining hall, trading post, numerous pavilions, and more. Camp Horne is the site of Cub Scout and Scouts BSA Resident Camp each summer.
Camp Horne was established in 1924 and has now been hosting scouts for over 100 years.
