2026 Summer Camp
Camp Horne
Our Mission
The goal for Scouts BSA Resident Camp is that every Scout has a fun-filled experience embodied by the ideals of Scouting. As Scouts participate in camp programming, the patrol method is strengthened, essential outdoor skills are acquired, and Scouting’s aims of developing youth who develop as good citizens, adopt positive character traits, and who are personally fit are advanced.

The camp has six campsites, dining hall, swimmong pool, two lakes, outdoor chapel, shooting sports complex (rifle, archery, and shotgun), climbing/rappelling tower, outdoor skills areas, ecology area, handicraft pavilion, numerous pavilions, and much more. Scouts have been attending summer camp at Camp Horne for 102 years!

Camp Dates
June 7 - 13, 2026

On July 4, 2026, our nation will commemorate and celebrate the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence. The journey toward this historic milestone is an opportunity to pause and reflect on our nation’s past, honor the contributions of all Americans, and look ahead toward the future we want to create for the next generation and beyond.
Scouting has played an important role in our nation's history, with patriotism and leadership being instilled in every member of our movement. Summer Camp 2026 will include all of the normal activities and opportunities for our Scouts but we will also place an emphasis in "Celebrating US"! Celebrating the 250th Anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence but also celebrating the many contributions to our nation made over the past 116 years through Scouting.
