Eagle Scout Scholarship Opportunities
As information about Eagle Scout Scholarships is received, it will be posted on this page. Some scholarships are annual and even if you have missed this year's date, it might become available again for the next year, so check back!
We have a year-end deadline (Dec. 31, 2026) for annual submissions for the Arthur M. & Berdena King Eagle Scout Scholarship Contest.
Any Eagle Scout who completes the application, ancestor chart and 500 word essay (see attachments) and submits it to their local SAR chapter (see ALSSAR link for SAR chapter locations) by Dec. 31, 2026 is eligible for consideration. They will be reviewed by a panel to determine Alabama state winners. Also, there are other youth competitions the SAR holds that Scouts could enter (speech, oratory, etc.-see ALSSAR Youth Programs link below), as well as using the process to fulfill several merit badge requirements.
In 2024, there were only 4 applications submitted statewide, and last year, we only received 3, so chances are excellent that the time and effort they spend on this project will be rewarded!
