Camp Horne

WHAT IS BALOO AND WHAT DOES IT INVOLVE?

This course covers requirements for BALOO training.

At least one BALOO trained leader is required to be at every den or pack outdoor overnight.

**PREREQUISITE:  All participants must complete the online BALOO prerequisite on my.scouting.org.

BALOO Training will help leaders of Cub Scouts become more aware of outdoor activities; and help them use Cub Scout outdoor skills. Learn simple but fun Cub Scout hikes, outdoor games, cooking, knife safety, knots and more—plus fun and fellowship with fellow Scouters!

Plan to be at Camp Horne in Cottondale AL by 8:00 AM on 12 September 2026. There will be ample opportunity to set up your living quarters in the campsite during check-in.  Training will begin at 9am and conclude no later than noon on Sunday.

You will need to bring your completed Annual Health and Medical Record (only Parts A & B are required) with you.

Cost is $20.00
