The Black Warrior Council is pleased to announce the OPENING of our 2023 Jamboree Contingent!

The BWC 2023 Jamboree Contingent  will be made up of Scouts from Troops in the Black Warrior Council! 30 Youth and 10 Adults from the BWC will be chosen to represent West Alabama in this life changing experience! Nation Jamboree 2023

Dates: July 17-28

 

There is still time to register for the 2023 Jamboree!  The jamboree committee has been working hard and has been able to lower the cost to $2000 per participant.  This includes fees for the 9 days of the Jamboree itself, as well as travel, meals, tents, and 2 days of exciting side trips on the way up.

First Payment and Deposit of $500 is due October 15th

Payments with required dates are below. Payments may be made at any time as long as the minimum payments dates are met. Payments are made to the Black Warrior Council Scout Office. 

*Any new registration after October 15th will include a $250 late fee, so register and get your initial payment in on time!

Council High Adventure and Jamboree Refund Policy

 

REFUND POLICY: Due to commitments made by the Black Warrior Council, the policy of the

Council’s High Adventure Committee is that the first $250.00 deposit made to attend a Council

sponsored High Adventure activity, including participation in a National Jamboree, is nonrefundable. If a

participant drops out and is unable to attend, any payment made in excess of the $250.00 non-

refundable deposit may be transferred to a new participant less any financial commitments up to that

point which are non-refundable (such as airfare, etc.).

 

REQUEST TO TRANSFER FEE: For those that request, by January 1st of the year of the activity,

to transfer fees paid from one High Adventure trip to another, e.g.: Philmont to SeaBase, the

amount transferred will be limited to one-half of the paid fee, exclusive of the $250.00 nonrefundable deposit.

 

REFUND FOR MEDICAL CONDITIONS AND FAMILY EMERGENCIES: If a participant needs to

drop out due to a medical condition or family emergency, they will receive a refund in the

amount of 50% of the total amount paid less the $250.00 non-refundable deposit.

 

REFUND PROCESS: Approved refunds will be issued during October of the year of the

scheduled activity when all accounts are closed or after we receive credits for the event.
