Chainsaw Training Course

WHEN: March 5-7, 2010

(Starts at 6:00pm Friday and will end at Noon on Sunday)

WHERE: Camp O’Rear

WHO: Adults, 21 or Older

COST: $25.00 per person

Class begins at 6:00pm Friday night March 5th in the Dining Hall at Camp O’Rear. The

course will cover basic Chainsaw Use and Maintenance at our Local Camps. Please bring

any safety equipment and saws if you have them. If you don’t have any of this

equipment, the council and instructor will provide you the equipment needed during the

class. You must bring a pen and notebook for notes and a good pair of work gloves, ear

protection, safety glasses and work clothes. Also, please provide a copy of the current

medical form for short term camping Parts A and C with your registration. Please hurry

as we will take the first 12 registrations only.

Note: The policy of the Black Warrior Council is that no person(s) shall operate a

chainsaw inside the boundaries of its properties without being certified by the Ranger or a

person designated by the council to operate a chainsaw. This course will provide you

with the necessary training and certification to operate a chainsaw within the boundaries

of council property.
